Professor at The University of Tokyo (UTokyo). As an architect and urban environment designer, he practices a wide range of design from housing to urban environment design, while also conducting global design activities based on the idea of using information technology to achieve harmony between urban space and environmental systems. He is also engaged in research into the application of computational design methods and cutting-edge technologies such as digital fabrication to sustainable urban and architectural design, and has published a variety of results.
